NYSC Clarifies Misleading Reports on N70,000 Allowance for Corps Members



 Eddy Megwa, the NYSC Director of Information and Public Relations, issued a statement on Saturday clarifying that there has been no official directive from the federal government regarding this wage increase.




The NYSC confirmed that no instruction to upgrade corps members' accounts to reflect a #70,000 allowance has been issued. The organization stressed that they have not received any communication from the relevant government sector responsible for wage matters.

The NYSC urges corps members, their families, and the general public to disregard these false claims and rely only on official channels for accurate information. The statement also cautioned bloggers and social media influencers against disseminating unverified information about NYSC policies.
