COVID'19: ROLE OF AN ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICERS IN BELOW ORGANIZATION
Environmental Health Officers are responsible for carrying out measures for protecting public health, including administering and enforcing legislation related to environmental health and providing support to minimize health and safety hazards.
1. HOSPITAL- immunization and management of biomedical and hazardous waste to prevent spreading of communicable and pandemic disease such as Ebola, Coronavirus, Spain Flu etc
2. PORT- Prevention of transborder diseases transmission(vaccination) and fumigation and issuance of certificate of health.
3. COMMUNITY- community diagnosis, situation analysis and community mobilization, Sensitization and Sanitation, Health Education to Prevent Spreading of Disease
4.INDUSTRY- occupational health and safety.
5.ABATTOIR- control measures against zoonosis.
6. RESIDENTIAL PREMISES INSPECTION- detection of nuisance(s) and their abatement.
7.COMMUNITY PREMISES INSPECTION- prevention of food borne diseases
8. WATER FACTORY- prevention of water related diseases.
9. MARKET- General anestheic and prevention of filthy environment related diseases.
10. INSTITUTIONS- school children saftey and prevention of accident.
11. IDP's Camp- disaster management
12. PROJECT ESTABLISHMENT- impact assessment
13. AGRICULTURE- pest and vector management.
